Reading suggestions always welcome, although that goes in fits and starts, too...

Lou - balance...hmmm...

Bronchitkat - no need to worry, I wasn not held hostage by a picket of striking teachers, it's the assessments that snow you under...

Scarletti - ooo, exciting! Surely September is too early for Littlest Small to be going to school?Nichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00150476755274772730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23916171.post-64573868323274037842008-06-11T19:29:00.000+01:002008-06-11T19:29:00.000+01:00Oh harsh words girl! BTW I'll be joining you again on those workload/homeload balancing scales come September!!!scarlettihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13213376087116813767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23916171.post-44988255594774812802008-06-11T13:20:00.000+01:002008-06-11T13:20:00.000+01:00I was beginning to wonder whether you'd been invo...I was beginning to wonder whether you'd been involved in either the Teachers' Strike, or exams, or some end of year show production. Or if life had just taken over for a while, as it does at times.

Roll on End of Term, eh?

Bronchitkat - who can't be bothered to fight with Blogger to get 'in' either!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23916171.post-88919217139862430922008-06-07T16:43:00.000+01:002008-06-07T16:43:00.000+01:00Hooray!! It makes me feel like I am not truly out of the teaching picture.

Remember that you must get a balance. I know how draining and hard work teaching can be but you have to come up and smell the roses every once in a while too!! Otherwise, you become burnt out before your time.Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12925474450346994067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23916171.post-86241049496285932142008-06-07T08:45:00.000+01:002008-06-07T08:45:00.000+01:00I wouldn't call your blog boring. Where else would...I wouldn't call your blog boring. Where else would I find out that Boris Johnson believes in teaching Latin and Greek to school students as a way of reducing street crime? (!) It's interesting to hear a view on the teacher strike, too. I used to be a teacher (25 years) of English and History in N.S.W. high schools. But I was going to ask if I could make a suggestion for your reading list? "Outcasts Of Skagaray" might appeal if you enjoyed "His Dark Material" and if you feel deeply about the issue of cruelty and child abandonment, about elitist societies and the evil they can cause. For a free preview, go to www.threeswans.com.au and see the sample chapters. My blog, if you feel like visiting, is http://threeswans.blogspot.com I would love it if you read and enjoyed my book, but whatever happens, best wishes.Andrew Clarkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14685970347404504083noreply@blogger.com
